ACTIA Chair on Intelligent mobility: civic, sustainable and responsible

The strategy of INSA Toulouse focuses on scientific, technological and societal issues. It relies in particular on:

  • recognized training in excellence, innovative and multidisciplinary, backed by cutting-edge research;
  • an internationalization of the campus to meet the imperatives of the knowledge economy;
  • emerging sectors: big data, connected objects, cybersecurity, energy transition, industry of the future, urban systems and biotechnologies.

In this context, the INSA Toulouse Foundation launches with ACTIA a major program: the intelligent mobility chair, a laboratory for technological and societal experimentation. To support it, the Institute wishes to associate industrialists, of any size and any sector of activity, via the patronage of the Foundation.

The objectives of the intelligent mobility chair are multiple:

  • invest in smart technologies serving a territory, the campus, and men, the INSA community (students, staff, partners);
  • create a space for reflection and experimentation for innovative technologies and new uses based on industry / academia synergies;
  • develop transdisciplinary INSA expertise and irrigate training programs to meet the skills expected of tomorrow's engineers;
  • explore an approach that crosses the technological and societal challenges: sustainable development, citizenship, ethics, collective intelligence ...

To involve students and industry, the chair have created events: seminaries sessions, hackathons (more), projects (more) and interships (more).

Different partnerships have been established to create a community around the chair (more). INSA and the chair are members of "la fabrique des mobilités" (link).

Opportunities and internships are available every year and are listed here.
